Cooper Discoverer H/T - Driver Report Colin Shelly 23 Brown St. 21-3-00 Dear Andrew, Some time back I rang you regarding the availability of Cooper Tyres in the Tamworth area for a hunting mate of mine, and you asked me to write and let you know the history of my experiences with Cooper Tyres. I have just changed my two front tyres, which were LT265/75R16 STE and replaced them with 265/75R16 HT. The history of the originals is as follows. I purchased a set of five 10 inch ROH chromed rims for my 80 Series Land Cruiser in September 1996 and had them fitted with the STE tyres. The speedo reading was 49,600 klm's. The reading now is 165,000 klm's and there is still 6 mm of tread left. The bottom line reads thus, 3 years 6 months tyre life, and 115,400 klm's travelled. Now that is what I call a great tyre! Being a diehard deer hunter, I travel quite a bit in pursuit of my sport, and I have been on all types of surfaces from the black soil plains of western NSW to snow covered logging tracks in Victorias high country and the Coopers have performed brilliantly. Never once have they failed to get me to my destination and back home safely. I considered going to a more aggressive tread pattern, but decided to stay with the proven product that is so reliable and safe. After a performance like I have just quoted, why change a winning combination? I am a Coopers convert and I have convinced some of my four wheel drive owning hunting mates to change to Coopers. And with figures like 115,000 klm's it's not hard to convert them. These tyres sell themselves! Congratulations on a great product at a reasonable price and a tyre you can trust. Yours Sincerely |
