Cooper Tires have announced a special competitor assistance package for 4WD competitors in this years Australian Safari. The event starts in Bathurst on August 23rd.

4WD competitors will be able to buy suitable tyres for their vehicle at special pricing and will have these tyres replaced FREE OF CHARGE on the event should they be damaged beyond repair and become unusable for competition.

Steve Vickers, the product manager for Cooper Tires in Australia, says the offer enables Safari competitors to run on quality tyres and put a limit on their tyre budget, one of the major costs of competing.

American competitor, Bob Land, and many of the other leading outright and class competitors, have already selected Cooper Tires for their durability and strength in the tough Australian outback conditions. Several top crews ran on Cooper Tires in the 2002 event and were pleased with the life and performance of the tyres.
