Mike Leyland Travels the Country Side on Cooper 4WD Tyres

Mike Leyland, one of Australia's well known adventurers of the "Leyland Brothers" traveled 20,000 in a three month trip on Cooper road tyres.

Mike writes that he "... had some concern before embarking on a trip through places like Central Australia, the Kimberley, Kakadu, Arnhem Land and Cape York on road style treads." However, to his amazement his Coopers came through."I didn't need to use the winch once"

"The three weeks we spent on Cape York was the most demanding on the tyres, they came through unscathed.  We didn't even get bogged like a lot of others who had more aggressive tread patterns.  The Coopers seemed to cope with the mud and sand, equally as well. 

"As I drove across the Pascoe River I was absolutely certain that we would be using the winch to get over the mountain of slippery boulders, knowing I had road style treads.  Much to my amazement the heavily laded 100 Series Land Cruiser just crawled up the hill spitting out rocks at the back.

"It is great to go away on a trip and have no tyre trouble - thanks to Cooper.
